DRUM THERAPY FOR SENIOR CENTERS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS

These are challenging, building block, engaging classes that cover a variety of concepts, including advance rhythmic and coordination concepts, tone, melody, dynamics, and phrasing.  The second half of our classes consists of going around the world and learning music from that country or continent.  Finally, participants also learn the styles of music that have impacted the United States.  We learn about the tradition, rhythm, and music history of that culture or style.  We then apply what we learn in interactive activities.  Finally, we play along with music of that culture or style where everyone is engaged, creating their own rhythms over the music.
